Howdy! This is a shrine dedicated to disturbing cinema, which has been my special interest since I was about 12 years old.
WHAT GOT YOU INTO DISTURBING CINEMA?:
I've been intrigued by horror for pretty much my entire life. One of my earliest memories is trying to steal a Cujo DVD from my uncles house. I remember seeing the trailers for Hostel and The Human Centipede on youtube and having nightmares for months.
WHAT QUALIFIES AS DISTURBING?:
Disturbing is a very broad word, and is very subjective to everyone. To me it's basically a catch all for any film containing gratuitous sex and violence that you wouldn't see in most mainstream movies, also some pyschological horror and gross out things. I do not consider gore mixtapes disturbing movies because they are not movies and I find using real death footage as a spectacle very exploitative and disrespectful.
